Sunset/Moonrise Walk

Enjoy the sights and sounds of American Canyon’s beloved Wetlands Edge Trail by moonlight under the Hunter’s Moon. Our Parks Foundation program naturalist will lead a walk to Glass Beach to watch the sunset in the west with stops along the way to learn about the nocturnal animals that call the Wetlands home. On the return trek to the trailhead, enjoy a peek at the Hunter’s Moon as it rises above the foothills to the east.

This is a 1.5-mile out-and-back walk at a casual pace on a flat, compact trail. Participants are encouraged to dress in layers and bring a flashlight for the return walk to the parking lot. Participants will meet at the Parks Foundation team at the trailhead kiosk.
