King Tides Walk

Become a community scientist for the day on this discovery walk. Document what you see to help protect our wetlands from the impacts of sea level rise. Learn what causes the annual King Tide event and how conservation can help preserve the wetlands from future sea level rise.

Members of the Parks Foundation’s Teen WILD volunteer team will be on-site to lead short discovery activities.

Bring your camera along and capture the shoreline changes as part of the California King Tides Project.

This social hike is a program of the American Canyon Community & Parks Foundation. The 1.5 mile loop trail is a flat loose gravel trail appropriate for most walkers.

Parks Foundation Discovery Hikes are casual observation walks open to all ages. The pace is casual to allow for nature exploration with our program naturalist and volunteers.
