Outdoor Fitness Station Is Here!
At ACCPF's 2017 Evening at the Ruins fundraising event, 47 donors contributed $46,550 for an Outdoor Fitness Station at Wetlands Edge. Thanks to their generosity and some additional match from ACCCPF and Greenfields Fitness we are able to move forward with the project. Special thanks to Peter and Kim Stravinski for in-kind pour of the concrete pad needed for the equipment. Through partnership with the City of American Canyon the project will has been installed!
The outdoor Wetlands Edge Fitness Center features 10 pieces of exercise equipment designed to enhance the Wetlands Edge fitness experience. The Wetlands Edge Fitness Center is a joint venture between the City of American Canyon and the American Canyon Community & Parks Foundation with generous financial support from Stravinski Development Group and local community members.

Each month 2,000 - 3,000 people use the Wetlands trails to exercise. This Fitness Station will provide additional workout opportunities that are free to the public and encourage a healthy, active lifestyle.

Coach Derrick is back with simple exercise ideas that you can do during Covid19. Each video highlights exercises that can be done on a walk, at home or in the backyard. No extra equipment is needed, and anyone can participate.
Add a little fitness to your day with Coach Derrik’s FitTips! Please remember social distancing guidelines when working out: stay at least six feet from others, move to the side if others are passing, walk on trails in your neighborhood, avoid crowded trailheads, use a mask to protect yourself and others.
