DESCRIPTION:The wildflowers are in full bloom! Come explore the Newell Open Space trail with the Parks Foundation and our staff naturalistto observe the flora and fauna that thrive in this preserved hillside.\n\nThe Newell loop trail is a 4.5 mile loop with approximately 800 feet of elevation change. Hikers will enjoy sweeping views of the Bay and the beautiful rolling green hills of the Newell Preserve. Trails can be uneven, hikers are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes, dress in layers (long pants are encouraged), pack sunscreen, water and bug spray.\n\nPack binoculars & walking sticks if you have them\n\n\n\nThis hike is weather-dependent and subject to Newell Open Space closures due to weather.
